record of this procedure has revealed very few adverse effects

Side effects are generally limited to skin irritation in the form of
redness, mild swelling, and altered sensation and are short-term
in nature, resolving in the first couple of days after the
procedure. Infrequently, patients may encounter superficial
burning or irregular pigmentation in small areas of the skin.
Once again, such side effects are rare and generally temporary
in nature. Overall, Thermage ® treatment has been studied
carefully in hundreds of patients with minimal reports of lasting
adverse effects.
