Laser Skin Resurfacing
(Laser Peel)
How Will I Be Cared For On
The Day Of My Procedure?
Laser resurfacing may be performed in a hospital or an outpatient
surgery center.  If you are having additional procedures, you may
be admitted for overnight observation.  Otherwise, most patients
go home the same day.

Medications are administered to keep you comfortable during the
procedure.  Usually, local anesthesia with sedation is used during
the laser resurfacing.  However, if you are having multiple
procedures performed, it is possible that general anesthesia will be
used.

Before laser resurfacing is initiated, you will be fitted with
protective eyewear to shield your eyes throughout the procedure.
Your physical status is monitored throughout the procedure.
