			Is Treatment With Botox® Painful?

Discomfort is minimal and brief with each injection. However, if you are concerned or have had a previous uncomfortable experience, several options exist to improve any discomfort. Topical anesthetic, numbing cream, or an ice pack, can be applied to the area to be injected with Botox®. Typically the topical anesthetic requires a minimum of one half hour to take effect. An ice pack may be effective within 15-20 minutes. Once the injection is complete, there is usually no discomfort.
